Sgt. Chris Hill of the Howell Police Department and the President of the National and local Police Athletic League has said one of the goals of the PAL is to provide a safe place for the young residents of the town to come and play and take part in the various activities offered.
On Wednesday night the PAL will be hosting a special program helping to teach them and others ways to deal with "tough situations," Hill said. The program will touch on a variety of topics according to Hill, "whether it's friendships gone bad or grades or just a poor relationship with friends and family.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to run until 8 p.m. There will also be food and drink available during the night.
