Major Highways Look Clear as Weekend Comes to an End

Traffic looks light on Sunday night

For as busy as the commute was on both the local roads and highways in the area on Friday night, the traffic appears that much lighter on Sunday night.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is reporting very few if any delays on both the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike as of 7 p.m.

In fact, there are no reported problems on the Parkway along the entire length of the major roadway that is normally packed with summer traffic. There is one problem spot on the Turnpike, as volume is causing problems on the northbound side from ext 7 to exit 7a. The five mile delay looks to be the only problem motorists will encounter for most of their trip.
