MONOC To Train Joint Base Personnel

Wall-based emergency services company gets contract at McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst

The Monmouth Ocean Hospital Service Corp., or MONOC, has been awarded a year-long contract to provide emergency training at nearby Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, MONOC officials said.

MONOC, headquartered on Megill Road in Wall, will be providing Emergency Medical Technician training and refresher courses to fire and emergency personnel at the joint base, according to a MONOC release.

Some of the subjects covered will include: trauma, medical emergencies, respiratory emergencies, pre-hospital care of stroke, seizures, and the use of epinephrine auto-injectors for severe allergic reactions, the release says.

All continuing education will be approved for continuing education units by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Office of Emergency Medical Services, according to the release.
