If you find yourself stuck in traffic this weekend and grumbling about how it takes longer than you would like to get from point "A" to point "B", just remember it can always be .
According to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, as of 3:45 on Friday afternoon there were no reported delays in the area, but there are problems other places in the state. The New Jersey Turnpike has reported delays on exit 8A that stretches for two miles due to heavy volume.
Also on the Turnpike, there is a five mile delay on the southbound side near Exit 7A. That is also being attributed to heavy volume in the area. While no delays are being reported as a result, there is a broken down tractor trailer on 195 West at the exit for 295 which is blocking part of the heavily used exit ramp.
For those looking to get out to Pennsylvania, there are also delays being reported on the northbound side of the Turnpike just south of Exit 6. That problem brings with it a four mile delay as traffic builds up near the border with the Keystone state.
If the pockets of heavy traffic up north make their to our area, then it could mean more congestion on the local roadways, but for now it looks like people can get where they're going without too much difficulty.
