Services This Week for Freehold Man Killed in Weekend Crash

Mark Chilton of Freehold Township passed away from an injury he sustained in a car accident in Howell on Friday

Mark J. Chilton, 22, of Freehold Township passed away from an injury he sustained in a car accident on Friday.

Chilton was born in Long Branch and lived his whole life in Freehold Township. He was a graduate of Freehold Township High School Class of 2009. He received his associate’s degree at Brookdale Community College for Business Administration and he was attending DeVry University for Computer Networking.

Chilton is survived by his parents, Michael and Josephine Chilton of Freehold Township;  two brothers, Michael and Robert Chilton of Freehold Township; paternal grandfather, Robert Chilton in Kissimmee, Florida; and lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, June 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10 a.m.  Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 19 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Interment to follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
