Thousands Reported Without Power Due to Sandy

JCP&L working on outages throughout the state

As of 2:45 on Monday afternoon JCP&L is reporting more than 3000 Howell residents without power. By 3:55 that number had increased to more than 5000 reported outages. 

The township is one of the hardest hit in the area according to a map on the utility's website. Manalapan residents are also experiencing outages with close to 3500 in that town as well.  In Ocean County, Lakewood also has just over 3800 residents reportedly without power. 

To report an outage call 1-888-544-4877. To report any other non-emergency storm related questions or issues the township has activated the Emergency Operations Center which can be reached at 732-414-3239.

About 3 p.m. transformer exploded at old tavern rd and herbertsville rd and also on old tavern rd a tree has brought down wires into street 20 min later

You have GOT to be KIDDING ME!! In response to recent events in Ocean County, Newtown, amd Colorado,Read More this clown is introducing VIDEO GAME LEGISLATION?!?! I have an idea for him; how about he introduces legislation that prevents legislators from introducing meaningless legislation in an effort to draw attention to themselves. Why not just take out a full page ad in the Press that reads, "Assemblyman (I Used To Be A Senator) Kean Wants You To Know His Name!"
