Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center Holds Discussion on Avoiding Falls for Seniors


Avoiding Falls

Tuesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

We all know a fall can have life-changing consequences, but falling can be avoided! Empower yourself and join health coaches from the Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center for a practical, interactive discussion on some of the most common causes of accidental and unexplained falls and how they may be avoided. The presentation will include a demonstration on the safest way to get up after a fall. Attendees will also have the opportunity to have their balance screening free of charge. The Avoiding Falls discussion is presented in collaboration with the Monmouth County Parks System and will take place at the Manasquan Reservoir Environmental Center, located at 331 Georgia Tavern Road in Howell. Light refreshments will be served. This presentation is free but registration is required by calling the Monmouth County Parks System at 732-842-4000 ext. 1.
