Save the Shore Fundraiser Kickoff

Art Beins Karate and New Jersey martial arts students and instructors will be launching a new initiative to raise money to help residents of the Jersey Shore affected by Hurricane Sandy. Participating Martial Arts schools in New Jersey will be offering special two-week classes of expert instruction in martial arts, kickboxing or physical fitness for $10 with all proceeds donated to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund (https://sandynjrelieffund.org/index.html).

Art Beins has trained more than 10,000 students over the past 32 years, mostly in the Shore area. Master Beins is a well known community leader in Howell, going back to his days as one of the school's historically most successful wrestlers in the early-70’s and has been a role model/mentor for NJ Shore's youth ever since.

He and other New Jersey martial arts instructors and students will speak about their goals for the initiative and share their personal experiences of how Sandy has affected their communities. In addition to martial artists from all over the state, numerous elected officials have been invited along with local community and business leaders. Media is encouraged to attend the kick-off event in order to raise awareness.
