FREE JUST4KEEPERS EVALUATION CLINIC

FREE JUST4KEEPERS EVALUATION CLINIC

Before we explain how a J4K Goalkeeper & Futworks
Evaluation Trial can benefit a goalkeeper let us go over how it works:

Only a small number of goalkeepers get invited to each trial
evaluation.

The trial training session lasts for one hour and in that
hour goalkeepers perform certain exercises beginning with a warm up, footwork,
proper body movement, technique, distributing and shooting. Each training
session focuses on one element of the game.

Why do we focus on one element of training?

For example, on our goalkeeper/player session we will do
footwork - instep, laces & first touch, proper technique. BTW we receive
great comments on the fact that we have the players play bare footed. In
today’s game goalkeepers must have just as good touch on the ball as field
players if not better.

We also focus on catching the ball, proper techniques and
positioning.

In our school we brake down the different elements of soccer
and only work on one of them at a time. We use different training methods to
make sure the player's technique is proper and we repeat over and over again
until the player masters that particular technique.  It is only then that we move to the next one.

Do not forget that young players only remember the first 15
minutes and the last 15 minutes of a session. So, throwing at them all kinds of
different information only confuses them more.

It does not matter if a player/goalkeeper is 4 or 104, sound
fundamentals and proper techniques are the basis of success. One cannot run
unless they learn how to properly walk first.

You will hear professional coaches in every sport and every
league always make mention to working on their fundamentals.

This allows the coaches to evaluate the keepers and the
players.

After the evaluation certain keepers will be invited back to
participate in our school. It is not open to all participants.

Soccer is a game of organized chaos and every position
requires great technique and attention to detail. Attention to detail and sound
fundamentals is what we do. By attending a trial a goalkeeper learns how to pay
attention to the little details and fundamentals and become aware of the fine
points in executing proper fundamentals that can make a huge difference in
one's game.
