GCU's McAuley Institute Helps You Find Your Roots with Genealogy Course

GCU's McAuley Institute for Lifelong Learning (MILL) has the perfect class to help jumpstart your search for your roots: Genealogy: Finding Your Family History.

Do you ever wonder if you were related to a famous historical figure, or just where your great-grandparents’ great-grandparents were from? Georgian Court University’s McAuley Institute for Lifelong Learning (MILL) has the perfect class to help jumpstart your search: Genealogy: Finding Your Family History. Instructor Catherine Zahn, a past trustee of the Genealogical Society of New Jersey, will show you how to get organized and start researching your family using online sources and materials you may already have.

The two-hour class will take place on Saturday, February 23, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on GCU’s Lakewood campus. The course is $20 per MILL member and is available to non-MILL members for $45. Annual MILL membership is just $25.

The class is one of more than more than 25 courses and programs for adults ages 50 and above offered by the MILL program in the Spring 2013 semester. Combining social interaction and learning without tests or homework, MILL offers social events for members and courses in subjects ranging from golf, T’ai Chi Chih®, and holistic home remedies to Twitter 101, Einstein, and the Korean War.
