Shred Day & Food Drive

On Saturday September 24, 2011, Manasquan Savings Bank will host another Shred Day and Food Drive to benefit the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. This event will be held at the Ramtown office, located at 167 Newtons Corner Rd, Howell from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

The previous Shred Day held in June 2011 at their Meetinghouse Rd, Wall Township office was a huge success with 2.5 tons of paper shredded, 425 pounds of food and $425 donated to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Take an important step to protect your identity and confidential information.  Bring your mixed office paper, (no magazines or newspapers) to be shredded on-site at Shred Day.  100% of shredded material is recycled. Material is limited to two file boxes or 50 lbs.  One ton of shredded and recycled paper saves an estimated 17 trees, 380 gallons of oil, 3 cubic yards of landfill space, 4000 kilowatts of energy and 7000 gallons of water.

Non-perishable food donations will also be collected for the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.  Manasquan Savings Bank will continue to make a matching monetary donation to the Food Bank, so the more food you bring, the more money they’ll donate!

Hunger is an issue that affects families throughout the year, not just during the holidays.  Please bring items for donation such as canned fruits and vegetables, canned and boxed juices, hot and cold cereal, canned beans and meats.
