Howell Food Pantry Settling in at Holiday Season

Donations of food needed after Thanksgiving rush.

After agreeing to a lease with the township to move just across Adelphia Road to the old Tax Building the Howell Emergency Food Pantry is gearing up for what is expected to be a very busy holiday season.

Donna Howell, Director of the food pantry said coming into thanksgiving the organization got “an amazing outpouring for Thanksgiving as many supporters have stepped up to fill our shelves.” There have also been a large number of volunteers coming out to help distribute the food according to Howell.

The new facility may have a smaller storage area than their last home but Howell said once Thanksgiving passes donations will be more than welcome. “We are thrilled with how many neighbors are looking to donate,” she said.

Anyone looking to donate food or other items is asked to wait until after December 2. “Once our Thanksgiving dinners are out the door we will have plenty of room to prepare for Christmas,” Howell added.
