Women's Club to Meet Tomorrow

Annual Tea Membership at Taunton School

An annual tradition is returning to town tomorrow when the Howell Women's Club invites women from around the area to their membership tea. 

The event will be held at at 7:30 p.m. and is open to residents of not only Howell but also Jackson, Lakewood and Freehold. 

Refreshments will be served at the event and the club will also be collecting items for the American Recreational Military Services (ARMS) program as part of the day. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring items like small toiletries and other shippable food and entertainment items. Club member Mary McDowell said toothpaste and toothbrushes are not needed. More information about ARMS can be found on their website.

The Howell Women's Club meets monthly and according to McDowell they involve projects the club is undertaking and also "short informational programs." She added, "The club has raised an appreciable sum for local charities, especially women's and children's causes, and has been instrumental in aiding local families in need."
