From Stuyvesant to Sandy at Wall Township Library

Join noted New Jersey author Joseph Bilby for a fascinating look at New Jersey history at the Wall Township Library, 2700 Allaire Road, on Wednesday, May 14 at 7 p.m.

Bilby will bring some of the notable events that have shaped the Garden State alive again. Some are well known and important: the Revolutionary War Battle of Trenton and the inventive genius of Thomas Edison. Others are a bit more quirky: the birth of the creator of Felix the Cat in 1892 and the opening of America's first traffic circle in 1925.

Joseph Bilby is the author/editor of more than 300 articles and 14 books on New Jersey and military history, including his most recent, 350 Years of New Jersey History: From Stuyvesant to Sandy, written with James M. Madden and Harry Ziegler.

this program is part of the Library's celebration of New Jersey's 350th Anniversary. Call the library at 732-449-8877 for more information or click on the Monmouth County Library webpage at www.monmouthcountylib.org
