Prosecutor's Office is Now on Facebook

The Prosecutor's Office's Facebook page will provide the latest updates about arrests, indictments, convictions, prison sentences as well as information about events and emergency situations.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has joined Facebook, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced last week.

“Facebook is the most popular social media website in the world – we stay in touch, we learn the news and we grasp the world through our Facebook experience – making the website critical to the needs of our community when it comes to disseminating information to a broad-based community like Monmouth County,” Gramiccioni said.

The Prosecutor's Office’s Facebook page will provide the latest updates about arrests, indictments, convictions, prison sentences as well as information about events and emergency situations, a news release said.

“We intend to use our Facebook page to communicate with the citizens of Monmouth County, and open a dialogue to bring the community together as we continue our fight against crime,” Gramiccioni said.

While much of the information that will be distributed on Facebook can be found on the Office’s website, the new page will serve as a tool to quickly disseminate information in a timely manner and allow the Prosecutor's Office to expand its reach, the news release said.
