Howell Resident Richard P. Gregorio Dies at 55

Gregorio is survived by his wife and two daughters.

Richard P. Gregorio, 55, of Howell passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Ohio and Freehold before moving to Howell 19 years ago. Richard was a beloved husband and cherished father.

He is survived in grief by his wife of 34 years, Michele (Mastronardi) Gregorio; treasured daughters Lauren and Cara Gregorio; Lauren’s fiancé Ryan Marotta; a brother Michael and his wife, Michele, NY; a sister and her husband, Linda and John Benanti, Florida; his mother-in-law, Joan Mastronardi, NY; a brother-in-law and his wife, Thomas and Patricia Mastronardi, NY; a sister-in-law and her husband, Linda and Anthony Puleo, NY; and nieces and nephews. Richard was an accomplished and recognized auditing and application security professional who held the position of Manager of IT Controls and Shared Services in the Information Technology Services Division at New York University in New York City.  He was a member of ISACA and IAA, and a past Howell Pop Warner Board member.  Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and valued education.

Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 8:15 AM for the procession to St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson, for his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass, with interment to follow at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, 299 Freehold-Englishtown Rd. Freehold. In lieu of flowers, donations to the fund for Lauren’s and Cara’s college and graduate school expenses, c/o Michele Gregorio, would be greatly appreciated.
