Longtime Howell Resident Liboria 'Libby' Marrone Dies at 84

Libby had a passion for cooking and loved spending time with her family.

Liboria D. “Libby” Marrone, 84, of Howell Township passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Libby was born, raised and had lived in Staten Island before settling in Howell in 1968. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time in Atlantic City and getting her hair styled on Saturdays. Libby had a passion for cooking, but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Libby was predeceased by her husband, Joseph and her brother, Vinny Cognata. She is survived by four sons, Frank Marrone and his wife, Laura of Brick, Joseph Marrone, Jr. and his wife, Marie of Sea Girt, Al Marrone and his wife, Sandy of Jackson and Vincent Marrone and his wife, Stephanie of Howell; a daughter, Fran Marrone-Menschner and her husband, Willie of Howell; nine grandchildren, Frank Marrone, Jr. and his wife, Christina, Tara Russo and her husband, Joe, Jocelyn Marrone, Marisa Marrone, Joey Marrone, Al Marrone, Jr., Vincent Marrone, Jr., Monica Marrone and Stephen Marrone; and two great grandsons, Aaron Joseph Marrone and Jackson Floyd Marrone.

Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524),  Freehold Township on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM with her funeral service to follow at 8:30 PM.
