Obituary: Augustine N. Cannata

Move to Howell in 2011

Augustine N. “Augie” Cannata, of Howell Township passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. 

Augie was born, raised, and lived his whole life in Brooklyn before moving to Howell in 2011.  He was a salesman for Aramark Uniform Services, Union and prior to that he was bread route salesman for Reliable Bakery retiring in 1998.  

Augie was predeceased by his father, Nicola Cannata in 1975.  Surviving is his wife of thirteen years, Deborah Bucciero Cannata; two sons, Matthew Cannata of Long Island and Bruce Wallace of Freehold; three daughters, Diana Cannata of Long Island, Jeanine Hjalte of Freehold Township, and Toni Ann Wallace of Freehold Township; five grandchildren; his mother, Grace Cannata of Brooklyn; a sister, Fran Gaglia of Brooklyn; a nephew, Anthony Gaglia of Brooklyn and a niece, Nicole Gaglia of Brookyn.

Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 and Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 9:00 AM for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township, NJ for his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass.  Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold.
