Obituary: Daniel Paul Kelleher, 63

NJ Transit railroad conductor and longtime Howell resident

Daniel Paul Kelleher, 63, of Howell died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 7, 2013.  Daniel was born in Scranton, PA and moved to Howell in 1985.  He was a railroad conductor for NJ Transit for 28 years, retiring in 2011.

Daniel was predeceased by his son, Craig Kelleher, his parents, Jack and Roseanne Kelleher, and his grandmother, Teresa Gaughan.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol Kelleher, two cherished daughters, Caren and Jan Kelleher, one brother, Robert J. Kelleher ; one cousin, Paul McLaine; and many treasured family members and friends.

Daniel will be remembered for a life of purpose, character, and extraordinary selflessness.

Visitation will be at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on January 12, 2013 from 3:00 to7:00 PM.  Interment is private.
