Obituary: David Spector, 75, of Howell

Spector died in a fatal two-vehicle crash on West Farm Road in Howell on Friday morning.

David Spector, 75, of Howell Township passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014.  

David was born in Montreal, Canada and was a lifelong Howell Township resident. He retired as a line supervisor for Ball Foster Glass Container Corporation, Carteret in 1998.  Prior to that, David had worked for the Brockway Glass Company, Freehold and the Midland Glass Company, Matawan.  As a jack of all trades, he was able to build or fix anything.  With a passion for gardening, David was known for his flower garden but his family was his only love.

David is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Barbara Gravatt Spector; two daughters, Deborah Yarborough and her husband, Michael of Leesburg, FL and Brenda Lee Shark and her husband, Leonard of Lake Hopatcong; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Yarborough of Leesburg, FL, Marshal Yarborough and his wife, Cyndi of Leesburg, FL and Lindsey Shark of Hopatcong; a great grandson, Trent Yarborough; a brother, Boris Spector and his wife, Anita of Freehold; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, April 7, 2014 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 11:00 AM Funeral Service at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 with the Rev.
