Obituary: Joan M. Baillie, 87

Services to be held for former Howell resident in Farmingdale

Joan M. Baillie, 87, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Spring Hill Assisted Living in Somerset.  She was born in Fairfield and had lived in Bloomfield and Howell before moving to Somerset. Joan was a daily communicant at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.  Through their lives, she and Jack volunteered for numerous Catholic organizations.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, John H. Baillie in 2006. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Riley and her husband, Jeremiah of Plainsboro and Maureen Rogers and her husband, James; three grandchildren, Maureen, Katherine and Kevin; two great grandchildren, Trinity and Bodhi Ryan;  and a niece, Carol Schoening and her husband, Gary of Farmingdale.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 9:15 AM for the procession to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, West Main Street, Farmingdale for her 10:30 AM Funeral Mass. Interment to follow in Brig. General William C. Doyle New Jersey Veteran Cemetery, Arneytown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joan’s memory may be made to Renew International, 1232 George Street, Plainfield, NJ 07062.
