Obituary: Madison Grace "Madi" Beggs, 12

Madison Grace “Madi” Beggs, 12, of Howell Township passed away at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, June 4, 2012.

Madi was born in Lakewood and lived in Howell. She graduated from the Land O’Pines School, where she was in the gifted and talented program. Madi was attending Howell Middle School North enrolled in the Project Plus Program. She played soccer for the Howell Soccer Club and was a member of Troop 1980, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. 

Madi is survived by her mother, Mae N. Beggs, a brother, Richard M.”Richie” Beggs, Jr.; her father, Richard M. Beggs; a half sister, Amanda Beggs; her maternal grandparents, Norman and Grace Atwater of Anderson, SC; an uncle, Vincent Musa and his wife, Leyla of Elgin, SC; an aunt, Maria Salvatico and her husband, Chris of Moorestown, NJ; and her faithful canine companion, Murry Nico. 

Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass on Friday, June 8, 2012 at The Church of St. Veronica, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell. Interment to follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent, NJ.
