Obituary: Margaret Rose Vogel, 89

Margaret Rose Vogel (nee Masterson), 89, passed away quietly at her home on Sunday, September 22, 2013. She was born in Newark on December 1, 1923, was raised in Port Monmouth and resided in Keansburg before moving to Howell 13 years ago.

Marge was a communicant of St Ann's Catholic Church and an active member of Manning Place Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.

Marge was predeceased by her beloved husband, August (Gus) Vogel; her parents, James and Mary Masterson; and two sisters, Eleanor Darke and Mary Jankowski.

Nana, as she was so lovingly called, is survived by her son, Allan Vogel and his wife Sara; her daughter, Nancy Equils and her husband Raymond. She has four grandchildren; Allana and Pasquale Ortiz, Jeffrey and Lisa Equils, Jamie Rodriques, and Robyn and Thomas Struz. Nana has 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a niece, Kathleen Wilson; and her chair side companion Murphy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Rd., Middletown. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:45 am at the funeral home with a Funeral Liturgy to be offered at 10:30 am at St Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd, Middletown. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to your favorite charity.
