Obituary: Rudy Aquino, 56

Formerly worked with Howell South Little League

Rudy Aquino, 56, of Howell Township passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center after a courageous battle with Mesothelioma. 

Rudy was born, raised, and had lived in Orange before moving to Howell Township in 1985.  He was a water treatment plant operator for the East Orange Water Commission for over the thirty-five years.  Rudy was a former coach and past board member of the Howell South Little League.  He had a passion for the New York Football Giants, but his true love was his family.

Rudy was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Doris Aquino.  He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Teresa Ritota Aquino; two sons, Christopher Aquino and his wife, Brittany and Mark Aquino; a sister, Rose Aquino of Livingston; and his faithful canine companion, Casper.

A gathering will be at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 8:30 PM with his memorial service to follow at 8:30 PM.
