Richard Camano, a Plumber and St. Rose Parishioner, Dies at 56

The Howell resident lived in Keyport and Laurence Harbor before moving to the area 14 years ago.

Richard Camano, 56, of Howell, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in New York City, he lived in Keyport and Laurence Harbor before moving to Howell 14 years ago. He was a plumber by trade, most recently for Hacker & Son in Beachwood. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold.

He was predeceased by his father, Raymond. He is survived by his companion, Elaine Schlechtweg Greiner; his mother, Virginia; his children, Evan and Jessica; siblings, Thomas, Leonard, Victoria Shorter, Janita and Raymond.

Friends and family are invited to visit Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will be private.
