Tailor, Howell Resident Maddalena Cicero Dies at 85

Cicero was born and raised in Sicily and lived in Argentina before moving to New York and then Howell in 2002.

Maddalena Cicero, 85, of Howell passed away on Saturday at Bartley Health Care, Jackson. Maddalena was born, raised in Vizzini, Sicily and had lived in Argentina, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Staten Island before moving to Howell in 2002. She was a tailor for Lou Levy & Son Fashions, Inc. in New York City.

Maddalena was predeceased by her husband, Rosario A. Cicero.  She is survived by a son, Daniel Cicero of Howell; a daughter, Luana Fahr and her husband, Peter of Howell; one granddaughter, Amber Fahr;  one brother, John Costa and his wife, Caterina of Florida; and one sister, Sister Silvana Costa of Italy.

Visitation will be held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9 a.m. for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township for her 10 a.m. Funeral Mass.
