As the one year anniversary of Super Storm Sandy near has our District 4 Congressman, Chris Smith, served us?

As we approach the one year anniversary of Super Storm Sandy, I think it would be prudent to let District 4 know what our elected Congressman, Chris Smith, is doing to mitigate climate change.  Please see the link below. http://littlegreenfootballs.com/page/298854_Koch_Pledge_Tied_to_Congressio   Although Chris Smith has not signed the Koch Pledge, which was created by the Koch Brothers, he has promised not to sign any climate change legislation unless it is held hostage with tax cuts for the biggest polluters which include - the drafters of the Pledge - the Koch Brothers.  Ask his staff 202-225-3765. Koch Industries on polluter watch  http://www.polluterwatch.com/koch-industries   Chris Smith postures himself with a lot of rhetoric about protecting the Jersey Shore and the people that live here but the rhetoric is just rhetoric. Behind closed doors he makes promises to his colleagues that serve himself and his party.  Chris Smith is not new to signing partisan pledges.  Chris Smith has also signed the Grover Norquest Pledge. Grover Norquest 60 Minutes Interview http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=7419360n List of signers  http://s3.amazonaws.com/atrfiles/files/files/072911-federalpledgesigners.pdf  .    I am not sure how a Congressman can take an oath to represent a constituency and at the same time sign pledges to lobbyists and special interest groups that are in direct conflict of the very same people that put him in office, yet he has and does.    As Monmouth County struggles in rebuilding the devastating damage from Sandy, Chris Smith is making backroom promises that do nothing for NJ.  Watch out District 4 - your Congressman is not serving you.   Congressman Smith is serving himself and his political aspirations.    The hard working people of District 4 deserve a Congressman that really cares about our people and we should be demanding better from him or lose our support.  Chris Smith DC office 202-225-3765.
