Howell Congressman's Anti Women Voting Record

SMITH'S VOTING RECORD      Jan. 28, 2014HR 7No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act Bill Passed - House
(227 - 188)                                             Yea Sponsored  Smith wrote and sponsored HR7 - HR7 blocks PRIVATE INSURANCE from covering women's reproductive health and birth control.  This includes health care savings account money in flexible spending accounts.  It also block employers from receiving a tax benefit for providing a FULL RANGE OF HEALTHCARE TO WOMEN.  Full range is defined as reproductive and birth control.  Smith believes that any pre tax money is a tax funded abortion because he considers the Birth Control Pill to be an Abortion.  He is blocking basic women's healthcare from being covered by insurance.    Feb. 28, 2013S 47Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013Bill Passed - House

YeaHR3 redefines RAPE TO FORICIBLE RAPE.  Women would have to prove they physically fought their attacker.  NO - would no longer be good enough.  Women that were date raped or drugged and raped would have no legal grounds.  In this Bill children of incest would have to prove they tried to fight off the adult or the sex would be considered allowed freely.   If women wanted to get compensated for the costs related to their rape, they would have to file a claim with the IRS. The IRS would determine if their rape was legitimate and decide if the women could be compensated.  Smith's HR3 Bill became known as the Rape / Audit Bill.  June 8, 1999H Amdt 142Prohibition of Chemically Induced Abortion Amendment(BIRTH CONTROL PILL IS CONSIDERED A CHEMICALLY INDUCED ABORITON)Amendment Adopted - House

I am so sick of others telling me what my choices should be. Mr. Smith should move into the new century. i know many of the things he does are fine, especially for veterans. But, as for me, he can keep his hands off my freedom of choice; my body, my choice, my dealing with the consequences. He will not get my vote anymore. Please retire, Sir, and give a more open to new ideas and progressive person your job; preferably a woman!!

Dear Lady J, Please share Smith's voting record with other women and men that are outraged by this type of assault on women's rights. Also, FYI, Smith betrayed the Veterans totally. He voted for the govt shutdown in the fall which impacted veteran benefits. The sole purpose of the govt shutdown was to force the President to drop women's healthcare from being covered by insurance. He held the govt hostage and hurt our entire economy to further his assault on women's rights. He also voted for the Ryan Budget and it cuts benefits to Vets and even Wounded Vets. Google Ryan Budget and Vets. It will outrage you! People need to know.

Have been trying but everyone has their own feelings. Sadly, when something he did affects them directly/personally and they've lost something they depended on, then, only then will they wake up!
