Brick, Farmingdale Residents Indicted on Sex Charges

Monmouth County Grand Jury Releases latest indictments

Jason R. Hetzel, 32, of Chambers Bridge Rd. in Brick was indicted on several charges by a Monmouth County grand jury. 

Hetzel faces one count of first degree aggravated sexual assault for incidents that occurred between 2004 and 2006 in Howell. The charges stem from incidents involving a child under the age of 13-years-old. The indictment said Hetzel is related to the victim "by blood or affinity to the third degree."

He was also indicted on one count of second degree endangering the welfare of a child for incidents occurring between 2004 and 2006.

Also from the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office:

  • Jackie L. Mace, 63, of Squankum Rd. in Farmingdale was indicted on four charges by a grand jury. 

Mace faces one count of second degree endangering the welfare of a child for incidents that occurred between Jan. 20, 2011 and Jan. 20, 2012 in Howell. The charges involve an alleged victim under the age of 18-years-old "while having a legal duty or having assumed responsibility for the care of the child," according to the indictment.

The second count of the indictment is for one count of second degree sexual assault for incidents during the same time involving a 7-year-old victim.

Mace was also charged with one count of second degree endangering the welfare of a child for incidents between Jan. of 2009 and Jan. of 2012 with a victim "less than 18 years of age, while having a legal duty or having assumed responsibility for the care of the child," the indictment said.

The final count of the indictment is one count of second degree sexual assault for "an act of sexual conduct," with an 8-year-old victim between Jan. 2009 and Jan. 2012.
