Freehold Residents Arrested Following Lakewood Incident

Three arrested after late-night concert, police say

Three people, including two from Freehold, were arrested when two fights prompted Brick police to assist Lakewood police, and disperse an unruly crowd of people.

Officers responded to Lake Terrace Hall for the reports of a fight shortly after midnight Friday following a a concert. Upon arrival, police found the fight stabilized, according to The Lakewood Scoop.

About 20 minutes later, a fight erupted again, and police were called in to assist as a crowd gathered in the parking lot.

During the investigation, a man identified as Armando Grenados Ramirez, of Seaside Park "aggressively grabbed a hold of Officer Nathan Reyes and refused to let go," according to a police statement.

Reyes was able to break free, and Ramirez was subsequently placed under arrest for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

A short time later, Miguel Morales Silva, of Freehold, "became aggressive towards officers who were advising him to leave the area," the statement said.

While attempting to place him under arrest, he began resisting the officers as they were placing him in custody, police said. A second man, identified as, David Cruz, of Freehold, approached the officers from behind and tried to prevent them from making the arrest, according to police.

Both men were placed under arrest. An investigation is ongoing.
