Captains Lead Howell Police Promotions

On the same night it was announced that longtime Howell Police Chief Ronald Carter will be retiring at the end of the year several command level positions were filled at a meeting of the Mayor and Council.
The two highest promotions were for newly installed captains Mark Pilecki and Tom Connors.
Pilecki's new duties include serving as Operations Commander for the Patrol and Communications divisions. Connors will be the Administrative Commander overseeing the department's detectives, Internal Affairs, the Howell Community Alliance and the Records Unit.
Also officially promoted was Lt. Mike Martin who will assume new duties as the Day Shift Commander.
The promotions were rounded out with Jack Headley being named the department's newest sergeant. Headley will now be assigned to the patrol division for the evening shift.
As part of the promotions Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd said Capt. Andy Kudrick will assume responsibility for the services division, traffic safety, school resource officers, accreditation and training for the department.
