Charges Against Howell Resident Include Resisting Arrest

Charges stem from Jan. incident

Joseph Anzalone, 25 of Sugarbush Rd. was indicted on several charges by a Monmouth County grand jury. 

The charges include third degree resisting arrest from an incident on Jan. 29 of this year. Anzalone is also charged with one count of aggravated assault on a police officer.

Anzalone also faces one count of fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon is listed in the indictment as a spindle. He also faces one count of third degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose for attempting to use the spindle during the January Incident.

Other grand jury indictments include:

  • Robert Kesil, 36 of Brick was arrested in Howell on or about Oct. 24, 2011 and charged with one count of third degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The indictment lists the substance as buprenorphine.
  • Jerome Hampton, 34, of Lemon Rd. was indicted on one count of fourth degree criminal trespass. According to the indictment he was arrested on or about Dec. 17, 2011 for illegally entering a dwelling.
