Construction to Close Echo Lake Bridge For Several Months

Park will remain open during work

Starting next week those Howell residents looking to go to Echo Lake Park will have a harder time than usual getting there, but will still have access to one of the favorite recreation spots in town.

A planned construction project which is scheduled to start one week from today is scheduled to run until almost the beginning of December as the Echo Lake Bridge is being replaced.

According to Sergeant Joseph Markulic of the Howell Police Department, Maxim Southard Road will be closed from Locust Ave. to Lanes Mill Rd. Markulic said during construction the park will be available from Lanes Mill Road.

The construction project could start later and go longer depending on the weather over this extended period of time. The plan calls for the roadway to not be closed longer than 150 days.
