Farmingdale Resident Faces Identity Theft, Credit Card Charges

Incidents occurred between December of last year and January of this year in Howell and Farmingdale.

Farmingdale resident Edwin A. Puello was indicted on several counts by a Monmouth County Grand Jury recently for incidents that occurred in the borough and neighboring Howell dating back to December of last year.

Puello was indicted on one count of impersonation- theft of identity, for allegedly trying to impersonate another person between December 20, 2012 and January 18, 2013 to get benefits valued at less than $500.

The second count of the indictment is for fourth degree false statement made in procuring issuance of a credit card. During that time Puello is alleged to have attempted to use the fake identification to get a Chase credit card.

He was also indicted on one count of third degree fraudulent use of a credit card for using the cards to get good or services from WaWa in Howell and Farmingdale.
