FBI Involved in Search of Howell Home

No word on cause of the search or any pending charges.

A home on Old Tavern Road was searched on Friday involving several law enforcement agencies.

The purpose of the search is unknown at this time but Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd of the Howell Police Department reported that the home at 379 Old Tavern Road was searched by law enforcement officers from the local police department and the FBI. Dodd said the Humane Society was also on the scene to assist with animals. FBI Public Affairs Officer Barbara Woodruff confirmed that agents executed a search warrant.

According to a report by News 12 New Jersey one person was arrested while others were taken into custody. Several boxes as well as a large bird were reportedly taken from the scene as a result of the search.
