Grand Jury Indicts Howell Resident on Five Charges

Weapons charges handed down

George Greenwood, 60, of Friendship Road was indicted on several charges by a Monmouth County Grand Jury.

The first count of the indictment was for third degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. On or about July 7 Greenwood is alleged to have attempted to hurt someone with a deadly weapon identified in the indictment as a knife. 

He also faces one count of third degree terroristic threats. On or about the July date he is alleged to have threatened "to commit a crime of violence." according to the indictment. The third count of the indictment is for one charge of third degree criminal restraint.

Greenwood was also indicted on one count of fourth degree unlawful possession of a weapon for having a knife and one count of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose for the knife.
