Howell Man Charged With Wall Jewelry Theft

On two occasions, man stole from local retailer, police say

A Howell man was arrested and charged Sunday with stealing from a chain retailer in Wall, police said.

Erik M. Parker, 28, of the Angle Inn trailer park on Route 33, was arrested and charged with two counts of theft and a single count of criminal mischief stemming from two separate incidents at the Route 35 Kmart, according to Lt. Walter Pomphrey.

Parker stole about $4,000 in various pieces of jewelry from the store on two occasions, one in December and one in January, Pomphrey said.

Bail for Parker was set at $11,000. Detective Dan Mason was the arresting officer, Pomphrey said.
