Howell Man Indicted In Rape of 3-Year-Old

Makim Michlich, 20, of Arlyn Drive, charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of endangerment

A 20-year-old Howell man was indicted by a grand jury on Friday, charged with the rape of a 3-year-old child, according to the indictment.

Makim Michlich, 20, of Arlyn Drive, is charged with one count of first-degree sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault and a single count of endangering the welfare of a child.

All three charges stem from a Jan. 20 incident where Michlich sexually penetrated the child and touched the child's buttocks, according to the Howell arrest warrant.

Michlich was arrested in Howell on Jan. 20, according to the arrest warrant. He was charged with the same three counts and taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of a cash bail of $225,000.

If released, Michlich is ordered to have no contact with the victim, cannot return to the house and cannot be left alone with children, according to the arrest warrant.

He was still listed as an inmate late afternoon Tuesday, according to jail records.
