Howell PAL Warns Against Phone Scam

Calls reported for at least a week

The Howell Police Athletic League is warning residents to be aware of a phone scam reported by several township residents over the past week.

Sgt. Chris Hill, President of the PAL said there have been reports of people calling and claiming to be with the organization as part of a fundraising drive. Hill said the organization does not solicit donations and any calls claiming otherwise are fraudulent. Hill said because the calls are not actually from the PAL, the money does not benefit the organization and the calls should be dismissed.

Anyone with information about these calls is encouraged to call the Sgt. Hill at 732-919-2805 ext. 2897.
