The was working hard this weekend to make sure drivers on the roads were safe while enjoying St. Patrick's Day.
Sgt. Jospeh Markulic said several people were arrested on a variety of charges as a result of the extra patrols:
- Daniel Rivera of Morrisville, PA was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Sgt. Ronald Rhein.
- Christopher Nicholl of Neptune City was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance by Ptl. Jesse Moore
- Richard Rose of Toms River was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Ptl. John Lopez
- Wesley Fischer of Howell was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Ptl. Michael Migdon.
- Kody Soares of Freehold was arrested and charged with possession of prescription drugs by Ptl. Michael Silvani
- Christian Cuzco of Freehold was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Ptl. James Conaty Jr.
- Kevin Sharpe of Freehold was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Ptl. Vincent Bonner
- Martin Traphagen of Howell was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by Ptl. David Levine
During the extra patrols Markulic said there were two motor vehicle crashes including one involving Cuzco.
