Howell Police Make More Drug Arrests

Last Friday four Township residents were arrested on a variety of charges thanks to the combined efforts of the and the Monmouth County Emergency Response Team (MOCERT).

According to Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd of the Howell department search warrants were executed at 75 Maxim Rd. and 8 Lincoln Street. The warrants resulted in the police finding drugs including heroin, crack cocaine, crack, pills and marijuana. They also found drug paraphernalia as well as weapons. 

Dodd said the weapons ranged from a shotgun to an imitation handgun to brass knuckles as well as "a large number of knives," among others. 

The following township residents were arrested:

• Kevin Keeton, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance for heroin and possession of a controlled dangerous substance for crack cocaine. He was also charged with distribution of heroin, use of possession with intent to use, possession of hypodermic syringes, possession of a weapon while committing a crime and possession of a weapon other than a firearm. He was also charged with possession of prohibited weapons. 

He was being held at the Monmouth County Jail on $55 thousand bail with no 10 percent option. 

• Laura Adamavage, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance for heroin, conspiracy, possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $9211 including $7500 for the charges and the rest coming from outstanding warrants. 
• David Adamavage Sr., 58, was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. His bail was set at $5500 with no 10 percent option that included a $500 warrant out of the township court. 
• Daniel Rakorski, 25, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. His bail was set at $6500 with no 10 percent option and also had an outstanding warrant which brought his total bail to $7834.

Amanda Adamavage, 27, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and Joseph Adamavage, 26 was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of hypodermic needles. Dodd said the last two were not taken into custody but were issued summonses for a court date. 

The investigation was lead by Ptl. Ryan Richards and Sgt. Tom Rizzo. Dodd said during the investigation and warrant executions several other members of the department assisted including herself. The other officers were Cpl. John Weg, Ptl. Nick Bondarew, Ptl. Bill Bommer Jr., Ptl. Jack Headley and Ptl. Michael Popek. 

Several members of the detective bureau also contributed including Rich Conte, Nancy Carroll, Chris Nagy, Rob Ortenzi and Janet Benitez.
