Howell Police Release Info on Sunday Crash

Driver issued summonses after accident

Following an accident on Asbury Ave. a Jackson resident was issued summonses after she hit a tree and overturned her car.

Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd of the reported that around 11:51 on Sunday morning 64-year-old Mary Poulsen was driving a 2010 Chevy Cobalt when she "failed to negotiate a curve in the road and struck a tree."

Dodd said Poulsen's car changed directions as a result of the impact and turned on its side.

Following the accident it was discovered that Poulsen's license was suspended at the time of the crash. She was issued summonses for driving while suspended, failure to maintain lane, driving without insurance and careless driving.
