Howell Police Seek Driver Who Left Note After Parking Lot Crash

The crash occurred Thursday in the parking lot of the Amazing Savings on Route 9 South in Howell, on the Lakewood border.

Following a motor vehicle crash Thursday in the parking lot of Amazing Savings on Route 9 South, near the Lakewood border, a driver left a note with a phone number and the name "SHULI" and departed.

But Howell Police say there is no answer on that phone line. So they are turning to the public for help identifying the driver by circulating an image from surveillance video. Police believe the woman in the image is the driver, shopping with two small children.

Det. Sgt. Eileen Dodd said the suspect's vehicle is a light colored grey or light blue minivan and missing a front right hub cap. The vehicle should have minor damage to the front passenger side corner of the bumper. The police are working on enhancing a digital surveillance image to identify the license plate.

The accused driver is described as a white female, wearing a grey long sleeve tight fitting shirt, long black skirt with a bright green stripe running across the bottom of her skirt.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the driver is asked to call the Howell Township Police Department at 732-938-4111.

Ptl. Riaz Motani is investigating.
