Howell Resident Arrested in Jackson on Drug Charges

One of three people arrested

The Jackson Police Department conducted an investigation on Dogwood Drive that resulted in the arrest of three people including a Howell woman.

Nicole Aurisano, 28, of Deer Hollow Drive was arrested on Wednesday and was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, identified as cocaine and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance for the cocaine. She was also charged with conspiracy and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a school zone. She was released with a summons. 

Also arrested were 51-year-old James Barry of Jackson and 38-year-old Joseph Kearney of Allentown. Barry was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance for cocaine, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance for the cocaine and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a school zone. He was taken to Ocean County Jail after being unable to post $25 thousand bail set by Judge Daniel Sahin.

Kearney was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance for cocaine, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance for cocaine and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle as well as distribution of a controlled dangerous substance within 500 feet of a school zone. He was released from custody after posting $25 bail set by Judge Sahin.

In a press release posted on the department's Facebook page the investigation resulted in police seizing cocaine, money and Kearney's 2008 Audi A4. Detectives Mitch Cowit and Detective Sgt. Frank Mendez handled the investigation.
