Jackson Man Shot, Killed in Lakewood
Victim, 24, dies hours after being shot in Lakewood apartment complex.

Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a Jackson man who was killed in Lakewood Thursday night.
Cops arrived at the High Point Apartments at about 9:53 p.m. for a report of a male with a gunshot wound, said Ocean County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Al Della Fave.
The man, identified as Kenneth Scott, of South Prospect Street of Jackson, who was shot near building 524 of the complex, said Della Face. He was transported by paramedics to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 1:55 p.m.
Scott was killed just one day after celebrating his 24th birthday, Della Fave said.
Lakewood Police and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office with assistance from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Criminalistics Investigation Unit and Warrants Unit, Della Fave said.
