UPDATE: The Jackson Police Department reported on Tuesday morning that Joseph Hue was located near Richmond Virginia by the Virginia State Police on Monday night.
The Jackson Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding an elderly man who was reported missing in the township on Sunday.
According to information posted on the department’s Facebook page Joseph Hue, 83, was reported last seen by his wife at around 2 p.m. when she left the house. When she returned an hour later he was no longer at the house and as of Monday morning she had not heard from him since.
Information from the department said Hue’s cell phone was left at the house at the time. He may be wearing a light colored shirt, red jacket, jeans, brown shoes and a baseball cap. Hue reportedly walks with a slight limp and his mouth droops slightly due to a stroke.
Hue speaks with a Jamaican accent and also suffers from short term memory loss. The department said he also takes daily medication. He is described as being approximately 6 feet tall and weighs around 174 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.
The car he drives is reportedly a green, 4 door, 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante with New Jersey license plate SCY 75Y.
The Jackson Police do not know what his destination might be but said he rarely goes away from his house. He was also reported missing once earlier this year and was eventually located just outside of Buffalo, NY.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 732-928-1111.
