More than 1000 Howell residents are reportedly in the dark after a power outage on Tuesday night according to JCP&L. The department said the outage mostly centers on the area of Route 9 and Casino Drive.

The outages reported spread to neighboring towns including Freehold where 27 people are without power. Their website also has a warning that there will be a "planned outage," on Wednesday in the area of Laird Rd. from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
