A Lakewood man pleaded guilty in Superior Court this week to charges he helped commit 11 burglaries between Oct. 2013 and Jan. 2014.

Alihbo C. Rosado, 27, admitted the string of residential burglaries he committed in Lakewood along with his brother and co-defendant, Matthew A. Rosado, 25, of Lakewood. Matthew Rosado pleaded guilty in the case in May.

Alihbo Rosado had been accused of acting as an accomplice in the burglaries by waiting outside as Matthew Rosado entered the homes. Prosecutors said the brothers shared the intent of taking various personal property of the victims’ and then dividing the proceeds. Alihbo Rosado subsequently pawned the items taken, according to authorities.

Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor Ehsan F. Chowdhry recommended a five year state prison sentence for Alihbo Rosado with one year of parole ineligibility, restitution to all victims if requested, and no contact with all the victims.

Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 15, said Al Della Fave of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.

Alihbo Rosado has been continuously incarcerated since his arrest, unable to post bail of $232,500 with a 10 percent option.

Not much of a sentence for 11 break ins. Does that mean he can get paroled in just a year? That is about a month for each house broken into.
