Oceanport Woman Jailed On Stolen Property Charges

Woman tried to pawn a stolen engagement ring, police say

An Oceanport woman was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property following an arrest Saturday, police said. 

Erin E. Harmon, 27, was arrested and charged after she tried to pawn a $15,000 diamond halo engagement ring at the Jewel Case in the South Freehold Shopping center, according to an arrest warrant.

Harmon’s cash bail was set at $20,000.

Harmon was also charged with a number of offenses from other towns, according to jail records.

Tinton Falls added a drug possession charge, as well as possession of paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. Old Bridge added a receiving stolen property charge and Deal added a $93 driving offense to the mix, according to jail records.  Previous charges were from outstanding warrants.

Harmon was still in jail by afternoon Wednesday on a total bail of $40,093, jail records say.
