Pedestrian Injured in Strickland Road Accident

Injuries believed to be minor

A 62-year-old township resident was injured early this morning when he was hit by a car at the intersection of Route 9 and Strickland Road. 

Detective. Sgt. Eileen Dodd of the Howell Police Department said at 5:52 this morning the man was hit when a 2007 Ford was making a left off of Strickland on to Route 9 North. The man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with a laceration to the head. 

Dodd said the man was "alert," and that his injuries "were not considered serious."
